Are you getting ready to send a parcel to Spain, for example to a family member or customer? Or, on the other hand, do you need to receive something from abroad and are looking for the most economical and reliable choice?
The purpose of this article is to introduce you to the InPost shipping service, a complete and flexible solution for your needs.
The two Iberian neighbors
Whether it is a parcel intended for family or friends, someone going on vacation and choosing to have their luggage delivered to their destination, or online commerce, parcel shipments between the two neighboring countries of the Iberian Peninsula are frequent.
These commercial exchanges are expected to continue growing in the coming years, both between businesses and between individuals: not only is it a digitally advanced country, but the online market in both countries will continue to grow. In Spain, buying second-hand items is especially popular, both for price reasons and due to environmental sustainability concerns.
For these reasons, the Spanish market is one of those that has received the most attention from companies looking to export and from people involved in buying and selling in the C2C market.
Cheaper shipments to Spain
Our international network of collection points, which covers not only Portugal and Spain but also 7 other European countries, is the natural choice for anyone looking for a way to send parcels abroad that stands out for its unbeatable price-quality ratio.
We bring together a vast network of strategically located points, the use of the most up-to-date technology, and everything we have learned over almost 20 years of experience in the service of fast and efficient delivery, and this efficiency translates into lower costs. You can see our price list here.
InPost collection points
Our out-of-home delivery service is based on the use of two types of collection point: Pack Points and Lockers. They work in a very similar way, with the difference that Pack Points are conventional retail stores working in partnership with us, and Lockers are automatic lockers available 24 hours a day (statistics show that this last option is especially popular in Spain).
In both cases, deliveries typically take 4 working days, and parcels remain available for pickup at the collection point for a period of 8 days.
How to proceed
To make a shipment, you only need to follow a few simple steps:
- Pack the parcel properly. Packaging is important in terms of safety, costs, and sustainability: see this article of ours for some important tips.
- Weigh your parcel. If you have any doubts about the maximum weights and dimensions we accept, you can consult this page in our help section.
- Fill in all the necessary information on the shipping page. As for the destination collection point, you also have the option of leaving that choice to the recipient.
- Print and attach the shipping label (now, our shipments can also be sent via a QR code, without the need to print a label!).
- Finally, all you have to do is leave the parcel at a Pack Point or Locker.
- Don't forget that, through our tracking page, it will then be possible for both sender and recipient to track the shipment's location throughout the entire journey.
Our international network
If you are looking for an economical, highly flexible and convenient solution for receiving and sending parcels, both domestically and abroad, out-of-home delivery with InPost represents a strategy designed for the demands of the modern world, allowing you to avoid many of the complications and delays associated with conventional deliveries, as well as reduce costs. Additionally, it is a more environmentally friendly option, one of the reasons why it is rapidly becoming popular in Spain.
In terms of efficiency, coordination between our vast hybrid network of collection points enables a logistics strategy on an Iberian scale, optimizing routes and scheduling to make the most of the affinities and physical proximity between the two countries.
