InPost: logistics for local commerce

Dec 5, 2024

At InPost, we believe in the irreplaceable importance of local commerce, which is part of the heart of any community. Every traditional business represents effort, authenticity, and human contact, values that have been fundamentally important for a long time.

Our contribution to small and medium-sized local businesses takes place on two levels. First, we provide cheap, simple, and sustainable parcel shipping, under an ideal model for stores that decide to expand their business via the internet. On the other hand, being part of our hybrid network of pickup points brings real benefits.

In this article, we will talk about how your company can take advantage of these benefits.

At InPost, we support businesses like yours

Local commerce is essential to the economy and to communities. However, small businesses face enormous challenges in an increasingly digital, less local, and more competitive context. That is why, in today's world, it makes sense to take advantage of the possibility of selling in the virtual market.

Our logistics solutions are designed for flexibility, fitting perfectly with digital commerce and businesses of various sizes and with varying needs.

The InPost network has more than 11,000 pickup points on the Iberian Peninsula, so there is always one nearby. This shipping option represents not only greater ease and convenience for the recipient—it eliminates the need to wait at home for delivery and many of the complications and delays commonly associated with capillary distribution—but also a more efficient and economical approach to parcel shipping. Check our rates here.

It also allows you to offer your customers a more sustainable delivery option. Delivery to a pickup point represents a significant reduction in CO2 emissions per parcel.

The benefits for your store of being part of our network

Our Pack Points and Lockers consist of partnerships with traditional street-level establishments, which begin offering parcel delivery and pickup services.

Turning your store into an InPost point represents advantages on several levels:

More revenue: there is a payment associated with each parcel that goes through your store (or a monthly amount, in the case of Lockers).

More visitors: more people visit your store and get to know your products or services.

More sales: experience shows that the additional number of people who come to your store regularly translates into more sales.

To submit your application, visit this page on our website if you intend to turn your store into a Pack Point, or this one, if you want to install a Locker. The process is very simple.

The difference between the Pack Point and the Locker

InPost pickup points are divided into two types. Pack Points consist of traditional street-level establishments, such as newsagents or florists, that partner with us. To collect the parcel, the customer goes to the counter during the establishment's opening hours.

As for Lockers, these are smart lockers, available 24 hours a day in easily accessible locations. In this case, the parcel can be collected independently by the recipient, using an access code.

Let's grow together

We know that every business has its own story and its own specific challenges. And today's emphasis on large global markets and large-scale logistics can leave the feeling that small and medium-sized local stores, those old pillars of work and human relationships, are left forgotten along the way.

At InPost, we want to help you grow and offer innovative solutions for businesses of all sizes in the modern commercial world. Our delivery service represents an efficient and simple approach to parcel shipping, designed for online commerce.

And if you turn your store into an InPost pickup point, you will be helping your business gain visibility and an additional source of revenue, as well as becoming part of a more environmentally friendly delivery model.
