What are InPost convenience points?

Aug 29, 2025

If you shop online, you may have already used those pickup locations where you can collect your parcels away from home, but you may never have bothered to find out exactly what they are called. At InPost, we call them pickup points or convenience points: spaces that make for a convenient, fast delivery method that easily fits into your routine.

Our hybrid network includes Ponto Pack and Lockers, two solutions that are revolutionizing the way we send and receive parcels.

In this quick guide, we’ll explain what they are, how they work, and why more and more people are choosing an InPost convenience point to receive or return their purchases with complete flexibility.

A convenience point is a physical location where you can send, collect, or return parcels without having to stay home waiting for the courier. At InPost, we provide two types of points:

  • The Ponto Pack: traditional retail stores (stationery shops, florists, laundries, etc.) that operate in collaboration with InPost. These points allow you to send or return parcels with the help of personalized service. Recently, we made it so that printing labels is no longer necessary.
  • The InPost Locker: smart lockers available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This is the ideal choice for anyone who wants to collect or return their parcel without waiting, without queues, and without having to speak to anyone.

Together, these two alternatives make up InPost’s convenience point network, designed to fit your convenience, not the other way around.

Some of the main advantages:

  • Flexible hours: collect your order whenever it is most convenient for you.
  • No more missed deliveries: your parcel will be waiting for you, even if you are not at home.
  • More sustainable: consolidating deliveries in a single location reduces the trips and carbon emissions that each shipment represents.

At our points, in addition to receiving parcels, you can also send items and return purchases you have made online:

If you need to send something to another person, you can do so easily from a Ponto Pack or one of our Lockers. Just register your shipment on our website or app and you will receive a PIN or QR code by email or SMS. Then, visit the nearest InPost convenience point, bringing your phone with you, and present the code. If you have chosen a Ponto Pack, the person in charge of the shop will handle the scanning and everything else. If you prefer a Locker, simply enter the code on the screen, place the parcel in the locker, and you’re done!

Need to return an order? With InPost, that’s easy too. After requesting a return through InPost in the store where you made the purchase, you will also receive a PIN or a QR code. In the case of Lockers, simply scan the code and leave the parcel inside the locker. If you choose a Ponto Pack, just hand the return over at the counter. The whole process is quick, with no need to print labels or fill out documents.

Convenience points have become one of the most popular and distinctive solutions in modern logistics. The main reason for this is that they put you in control: you can decide when and where to send your parcel, pick up your purchase, or return an order.

With InPost’s hybrid network of Ponto Pack and Lockers, you have access to a flexible and fast system designed to fit your convenience. Whether you need to send a gift to a family member or receive a purchase, InPost makes the process easy: no-wait pickups, hassle-free returns, and a more sustainable approach.
